Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) is a portable, clean and efficient energy source which is readily available to consumers around the world which can be used in more than 1,000 different applications.
LPG is colourless and odourless and a strong “stenching” agent is added so that even a very small leak can be easily detected. At a normal temperature, LPG is a gas. When subjected to modest pressure or cooling, it transforms into a liquid. As a liquid, it is easy to transport and store. Once it has been cooled or pressurised, LPG is usually stored in containers made of either steel or aluminium.
2.What is the GPL used for ?:
It's easier to carry
The result is seen immediately after burning the gas
It has a high calorific value
By burning it does not pollute the environment
It is an independent and safe energy
It has various and multiple uses
3.What are the benefits of the GPL?
LPG has multiple and different uses. It is used in commercial business, in industry, transport, agriculture, electricity generation, cooking, heating etc.
LPG is an exceptional energy source due to its origin, benefits, applications and industry. Being a cleaner energy, with lower carbon emissions, efficient and innovative, it offers benefits to consumers, industry and the environment. LPG is a clean, sustainable and efficient fuel and a vital source of energy for hundreds of millions of people around the world. It is portable as it is easy to transport in special cars, it can be stored and used practically anywhere in the world
LPG is available in a wide variety of packaging and storage options and is available even in the most remote areas.
Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), also called propane or butane, are flammable mixtures of hydrocarbon gases used as fuel in heating appliances, cooking equipment and vehicles.
4.What are BUTAN AND PROPAN?
Butane and propane are both liquefied petroleum gases that are obtained in refineries through the processing of crude oil.
In the container (bottles/cylinders, tanks), butane and propane are in the liquid state, transforming into the gas phase upon its passage through the installation of the container.
Butane:
GASPECO’s 26 l cylinders contain butane and are used mostly in food processing (cooking).
